Hello:
I have a 2017 FLHTKSE CVO, a few weeks ago I starting to have radio sound problems.
When not in movement and the engine is working or off, the radio works perfectly but once I started riding the sound started to cut pretty bad, it looks like if there is some interference or something else.
This issue happens on any option, FM, AM, XM, Memory card or Bluetooth, this make me think that the speakers are not the problem.
Anybody that had experience this issue? Any help will be really appreciated.

 

Could you have a route still running in the GPS? If you do, the cutting out could be the turn promts it's giving you. If you have the volume on the promts turned down, you won't hear them but it will cut your music out.

 

Hello, I'm not using the navigation system at all.
The intermittency on the sound is pretty bad.

 

CB turned off? Intercom turned off? Both of those will lower the volume of music.

 

It doesn’t matter if you’re actually using navigation. If a route is running in the background, as @big-C mentions, the navigation will interrupt music to give route updates. That’s why, as you stated, it works perfectly when you’re not riding.
