Holding Clutch Basket to Tighten Nut
#11
It's too bad members feel the need to make snarky comments in forums. I don't get it. As for my situation, I DO have the factory service manual. Maybe I should've figured it out sooner, but a small note in the manual about ensuring the transmission wasn't in Neutral would've saved me a bunch of time.
Stop worrying about it and listen to people who know what they are talking about, they may have a little fun with you, but they are really trying to help.
If you follow the service manual, you will see that the hub nut is torqued or un torqued while the clutch is still assembled as a unit.
Forget about neutral, it makes not one bit of difference if the transmission is in gear or not.
Reassemble the clutch, then, using a locking bar, torque the hub nut, done.
Don't forget...The compensator, clutch, and primary chain are installed at the same time (it`s in the manual ).

People make snarky comments, yes, we all do sometimes.

I never said you can`t read.
Here`s a tip: when you are looking for help, don`t be a dick when you respond to the people who are taking time out of their day trying to help you.

Of course the clutch hub spins, the clutch was missing the plates and disks, you have already been told that.
