Speculation Thread for the next years RK
#11
When I purchased my RK I wanted the biggest motor available at the time, that happen to be a 114.
It meant I was pushed into the RKS , I like the chrome , but the black has certainly grew on me , now I like it a lot .
The black still seems to be quite popular with the younger crowd .
It is a PIA to keep shiny , and swirl marks free , unlike a chrome version .
I do not want ANY digital info on the RK , I believe it is the closest ( chrome version ) to the "old" school look for this type of ride .
The simple joy of riding without the electronic wizardry of a fairing bike .
I agree with above statements, basically I feel the young generation want all the bells and whistles available to them , and you just don't get that on a RK .

You are in denial with your last statement- The younger generation DOESNT BUY new Harley touring bikes- The OLD generation does. The old generation wants all the bells and whistles available to them. So if you have a problem with the way things went bitch at the old riders.
I'm not bitching bud , when I say younger riders I'm refering to the 30 ish year olds, not the 20 year olds.
Where I have been riding I see LOTS of guys in their 30 s riding street glides, infact most of them ride these types of bikes.
You just live in a different geographical location than I do , so curb your attitude.

I am guessing music is big part of it, and staying warm. Maybe in your part of the country where it is warmer, it is different. I would say most of the harleys around here have a fairing.

Some of us are short and need a reverse .
New frame and monoshock would be nice. I was not impressed with a ride quality on 2024 when I test rode it. That was also my first time riding M8 too. It did nothing to me. It was same old Harley ride… at least to me.
Thank god for motor trike reverse I can keep my 2016.
