I guess I could say my 2019 FLHTP with the 114 engine works fine. I just added the DK Customs oil filter relocation kit. So that should be my last time having to clean the oil from the filter dripping down the front of my engine. Saving me 20-30 minutes of time. May add the washable oil filter at some point.

I’m on my third M-8 since late 2020.

I keep buying ‘em.

So what was your question again. And for gods sake, use some spacing. I got a freaking headache reading that jumbled up ****. Is there something actually wrong with your bike?

Thats they way it should be however no one can decode the numbers I fine that very interesting, I looked at the pasted on stickers that show the vin and some bar codes however no such year of engine frame trans etc? I wonder why?

If you look at the Manufacturer's label on the front down tube of your bike, it will have the manufacture date of the motorcycle. That will be a quick and easy way to get a ballpark of when the engine was built.

I'm sure there is a list, somewhere in the HD corporate offices, where an engine's manufacture date is listed by its EIN (engine Identification number), but I doubt anyone will look for it on a customer's request..

In many cases, when directing recalls, service bulletins, or other issues, the MoCo will qualify them by the bikes' build date, not the individual parts.

Here's what the date of manufacture looks like on that down tube:

If you turned down an extended service contract then any issues are on YOU. You had the opportunity to ride with peace of mind but decided to be cheap so best of luck to you.

Quick Reply: Whats up with the m8's not just the 107?
