That is if your local dealer wants to sell at MSRP....
My closest dealer adds to the MSRP price.
I went in to order some fasteners... they wanted to sell a $1.99 fastener for $3.98.... I walked out..
I found my #9267 wheel bearings on the HD online OEM service parts finder. The list price was $37.68. Under "Purchase Options" it says "find at dealer". I go to the nearest dealer and they want $43.98 for the bearings.. I walked out for the last time..
I now go to another dealer, farther away. They sell at the online MSRP for most purchases, but they are still overprice for fasteners.. I rarely buy HD OEM fasteners anymore...

The dealer that I've always used for purchases and service work WILL give me a small discount on whatever I buy from them. Usually it's 10% to 15% depending on the item. Although it's a small discount it at least shows that they recognize me as a "good customer". FWIW even though they are only 20 miles from my home they have a different an lower sales tax which saves another 2.5%......making my total "discount" between 12.5% and 17.5%.....better than paying MSRP!
