I plan to. Just only so much money at a time.

You can find them cheap used. I know some sold some generic one for $50, I was tempted, but just didn't want to store it.

What is the pressure range for your tires and when does it come on? Even if not a warranty issue, you need leak addressed. If you are not going to pull the wheel yourself, than it really doesn't matter, just bring it to the dealer.

If you are going for warranty, I am not sure do you tell them lost 5 pounds only?

Agreed, I will just tell them I have to keep adding air every day or two. Which is true. I don't understand your pressure range question.

What does the manual call for tire pressure on your bike? At what PSI does the warning come on? For my bikes its 36 psi. So I am also curious what tire pressure is on new bikes.

My truck is 35, warning 25. Just wondering how much air you have to lose before warning comes on.

I don't have a jack yet so I rolled the bike back a little at a time and looked over the rear tire, I can only see about 20% of the tread in any 1 position. I can see nothing that looks like a puncture of any kind. So, if it's not a puncture, it should be a warranty issue. I will be calling for an appointment to take it in to be corrected. Thanks for all the replies and advice!
Looks like your rear has slow leak, 40 seems high for the front. My manual says 36 at 68F then add 1 psi for every 10F.

Mine are 36 too, but different year. Which is my point. 35 low tire alarm seems high set point for alarm. But I don't know that year.

manual says 40r/36f. IN talking with the instructor at the slow speed riding course I signed up for, he recommended 40 front to make the steering feel a bit lighter.

Do not listen to the instructor, look at your manual.
Also you are telling us the rear alarmed at 35 psi. It alarmed for being down1 pound? I just want to make sure we have a real problem. Not saying you don't But a dealer will screw you if you bring a bike in, and not a real problem..
