In the past four years I’ve had a ‘20 Street Glide, ‘22 Road Glide, and ‘95 Road King. Enter the ‘24 FLHP I’ve had 10 days.

It rides totally different than the two new Glides, that had the same frames and engines.

My Road King has been gone two years and even though the twenty nine year difference, the two Kings rode/ride nearly identical.

I’m 6’3”. That tall seat does make how you wrangle the bike pretty different. To me anyway.

Not sure if it's the added weight of the touring bike, or my higher riding position with the police seat. I really like the police seat. I'm 6'1 and the extra height is much more comfortable than my Heritage. Never had any issues keeping the Heritage upright. I've done a few slow speed classes and feel like I have reasonable clutch and throttle control. I've gotten a bit more comfortable with it, but I still have moments where the bike wanders to the right when I'm stopping (using the rear brake, not the front). And sometimes I catch the bike leaning to the left, just in time to keep it upright. Would a different seat be a better option for control? Or do I just need more practice with the heavier bike? Thanks!
I prefer the police seat to all others that I have used on different H-Ds. I don't feel that it makes the bike any more difficult to ride at all. I find that if I just ride by instinct, and don't over think what I am doing, I ride a little better. You must still continue to pay attention to your control inputs to the bike.

There are a number of us who compete and use seat risers to lift us even higher. It helps with control at slow speeds.

^^^This^^^ I was going to say...have you ever seen the way the motor cops handle & throw their bikes around? I highly doubt the seat height hinders them.
I have considered (and still am) a police seat for my RGL. I have an older HD Hammock seat that raises me about an inch over stock.
I've dealt with back issues for a long time and at 6'2" I prefer a bit higher seating position to get my hips and knees in a more level position.

Got the new bars on, and highway pegs. I ended up dealing with a few “stacked tolerances” due to just the increased diameter of the new handle bars, particularly just changing the power port to fit the new bars, but I’ve got it all buttoned up. The power port bracket is squeezed between the larger bar and the top of the nacelle. I muscled it just a smidge.

Ready to put down some miles later this week when the spring weather arrives.

Here is an alternate HD part that looks identical, and according to reviewers absolutely fits these late model Road Kings and other dressers (even though HD says it won’t fit).
And half the price. There were enough comments on the HD parts page who all said the part fits without modification, that I ordered. 59600022. Will report back after install.

One Correction: The more expensive part that is quoted above is what is on the 2021 Revival, and 2023 Highway King I believe it is the same front fender trim they put on 2021 Electra Glide Revivals, and 2023 Highway Kings, although I have not fact checked this.
