@Hulkss and other owners. I’m at the dealer, everything is installed, HD handle bar power port, heated grips in particular. It’s a skeleton crew on Sunday, with no tech. I was planning to pick the bike up Tuesday after they open back up.

So, here’s a question. When we turn the bike off, the dash lights stay on, and the grips stay hot unless turned off, and the power is “hot” (with 12volt power) also.

Are the dash lights and accessory power on a delay? Is this a police bike thing?

With the engine running, you have to turn off the passing lamps before shutting down. If you leave the passing lamps on when you shut the bike off, the passing lamps and accessory power will stay on for a period of time (maybe 15-30 min or so). This is a police bike thing.

From the owners manual: If you forget to turn off the lamps and the accessories continue to operate when the ignition is switched off, turn off the emergency lamps and cycle the ignition ON and then OFF.

Before I saw @Hulkss reply I was in the back of the dealer's shop, partially in the dark. I had let the bike sit for 17 minutes because I had read about the 15 minute delay. But the dash and accessory power stayed on. So I just started futzing with it every way I could think of and finally turned them off. Couldn’t tell you what I did exactly.

I am sure they will show me what Hulkss just described when I go in Tuesday to actually pick it up.

...but I wasn't leaving today till I saw those dash lights go out.

Just ordered the Super Bright dual Led headlights from Paradise Lights. The passing lights were already changed out to Custom Dynamics LEDs by the dealer when they removed the blue and red emergency lights.

Not sure what I want to do yet with the front and rear turn signals, and the brake light. I want to keep as much of a stock look as I can, but I am used to running a lot of light on back of my last two Glides.

I could be wrong on that delay, it might be 30 min.

I think I had read about 15 minutes before I posted here. Maybe the bike was confused about the "spring forward” to Daylight Savings time.

All I know is, now I know the secret handshake to turn it off.

I appreciate the quick reply earlier.

Just thought I’d share what I did to mine. First I bought some LED replacement bulbs for the rear signals and tail light. Then I changed the taillight lenses to red instead of orange. After that I added the custom dynamics module to make the turn signals into run, turn, break lights. Lastly I added the thin bag lights. Works good and pretty good looking.

Next I plan to replace the taillight with an actual LED housing and will likely do something with an actual LED in the signal housing instead of led 1156 bulbs.

Question, when shopping for parts such as electrical what model should I plug in to site to see if it’s compatible with a 24 police bike. I may be able to figure out hard parts…………maybe.

Looking to brighten my a$$ end up, maybe some led in the front also. Modules, accessory electrical connections, I’d like to get parts gathered before I tear into it but have the correct parts too. I’ve been using a 23 road glide for this but I’m not too sure on that. TIA
