That's an improvement for sure. I found, with my tall 14" bars, that I can use convex mirrors with really short stems and see with no issues at all.

Has anyone ordered a Police Tour pack from the dealer? I am looking for a used one but can’t find one. Would be nice to have one already wired up for the lights, battery and bottom plate so that got me thinking of just pony-ing up and getting a new one. Thoughts?

I bought one from H-D years ago. It did not have the fit and finish of a consumer product, more like it was for industrial use. The one I more recently bought on Amazon is more than $1000 less expensive. It looks good and works just as well for me. Info and pics earlier in this thread.

Yes, thanks for sharing that one - I am not ready to go the Amazon route yet - was hoping to get a genuine one.

That's no problem. Just order it from H-D.

I also went back a few pages and saw your posts about the box. What wasn’t clear to me is if I could order one from the dealer - From what it sounds in here that would be a “yes”. I’m still on the look out for a used one locally but may save up and order one.

I looked for a used one as well. They all seem to be used-up duty radio boxes with holes in the sides and bottoms, beat all to heck. I MUCH prefer Harley’s painted parts, but decided to run the XMT Moto part like Hulkss.

Here are the part numbers to order one in white or black that is not drilled for the emergency lights. Only about $1500.
The full police accessory catalog is here.

I woke up thinking how much I prefer HD painted parts over aftermarket, but that $1500 price tag on that cramped little police box has just broken me of that.

I’ll have about $225 in the aftermarket box, with mounting plate and Harley lock set.

ETA: And I’m not judging anyone who will spring for the HD box. If I thought the white one would match my Birch White bike it would stay in the back of mind to one day order, but I’m not sure the paint will match, and the long time dealer parts guys I like to use are never quite sure when I order odd or “one off” painted parts. They make best guesses that aren’t always right.
