The 2023 Road King FLHR Lives On As The FLHP

I need to replace my worn rear tire at 12,000 miles. I always do both tires.
I went with a Pirelli Night Dragon GT for the rear and a Night Dragon for the front.
After looking at all of the top performing tires, the Pirelli Night Dragon is the only one I found where the front tire tread is not backwards. Correct design in my opinion is when you look at the bike from in front of it, the front tread looks more or less like a "V" with the point down. This best moves water through the tread grooves away from the contact patch.
Here's an illustration of proper water flow (arrows) from the contact patch forward as a tire rolls on a wet surface.
Here's a short video:

The Pirelli Night Dragon GT is the only tire I use nowadays. They not only have a superior tread pattern, but they also have a slightly softer compound that grip very well in all conditions. I have never felt more secure diving into curves on anything else.

Great thread Hulk as I actually followed your softail build and had pretty much same bike and then wildly enough we both swapped to the RK about the same time. Keep it rolling as to me like a book waiting for next chapter 😂🤷♂️.
Stay safe and keep the miles rolling.

I was in the same boat as you. But with the info in this thread and the parts diagrams, it really wasn't too hard to figure out. I'm not exactly mechanically inclined but I got the right parts ordered and was able to install everything myself. Give it a shot! It's worth the effort.

Front fender trim
Has anyone had any luck finding a front fender trim piece to fit newer Road Kings? I see @Hulkss has the rear fender V trim piece, which looks great with the saddle bag guards. I've seen a matching front trim piece for older Road Kings, but the Harley site says it won't fit the newer bikes. Any ideas?
For reference, this is the piece I'm looking for:

I just recognized that the USA police models ship with long stem rear-view mirrors installed. I think I will like these better than the shorter ones that provide me a great view of my arms and shoulders.
They must look ok, it took weeks of browsing photos before I even noticed them. They get great reviews on the H-D parts store. Another plus for the FLHP.
