Hey Hulkss your original rack for your Amazon tour pack (police).. what part number is that? I'm looking to get one for my 21 FLHR. I have a 2 up seat so will need that one to mount the Amazon tour pack you have. The one listed for my bike on HD looks different and may not work for the police tour pack.

These tourpak supports are all over eBay. Most are taken off to convert to the detachable hardware.

Ah ok. Yea i prefer detachable really. The detachable for a 21 FLHR looks like it won't fit a police tour pack. Wanting a detachable bracket for my bike that fits a police pack.

You need to substitute a Two-Up Tour Pack Mount: Link to Hogworkz Two-Up Mount

I bought the parts below:

Hulks, I will be installing 12" KST straight jacket bars on my FLHR this weekend. Want to go with poly riser bushings - I noticed those listed as compatible with FLHR on HD's site actually are not compatible. In the comments, folks are saying that the height or thickness of the top of the bushing is greater than stock - this lifts the handlebar clamp upward impacting the cover.

Did you go with poly riser bushings, and if so which did you use?

The dealership was very particular about the riser bushings. They insisted on the Alloy Art HD-1 0604-0001 Riser Bushing Kit. I have the lowest grip vibration of any bike I have ever owned.

I used bars that were not stepped and are full diameter (1.25) at the riser clamp. This requires H-D 55900067A 1.25" fat bar riser kit.

Thanks Hulks, I will order those. It will set back my install having to order, but its better than having the flex with these crappy rubber bushings. I ordered the step bars though. After I ordered I thought I maybe should have gone with the 1.25. Having said that, as long as my clamps are torqued to spec and using service manual procedures, I have never had any of my bars move on me. Granted, I have had smaller bars at 12" due to my size.

I have seen some posts about kst bars on the amount of slop in the throttle tube from lateral movement - due of course to where kst steps up the 1 to 1.25". But I read of a member that pushed the limit of moving the hand control inwards and was satisfied - hope I can do the same thing as too much slop there drives me bananas.

After making sure my bars were at the correct angle in the riser clamp, the riser clamp and bars were drilled through from the top in two places, tapped, and set screws inserted with thread lock. The bars can get a lot of load from pushing a bike around or picking it up.
