The 2023 Road King FLHR Lives On As The FLHP

Earlier in the thread, you mentioned leaving everything stock so that RDRS works appropriately, etc. Does this include leaving the CAT in the header? I was going to leave it in ... but I forgot how hot these M8s can get. Getting rid of some of that heat in the pipes would be good and help cool the motor down. I already have a PV tuner so adding the bike to it and uploading a map would be easy. Unfortunately, my bike does not have RDRS.

The TTS tuner can do a good job of building a custom torque map for RDRS.

Your PV will work fine to tune it catless. I am currently changing my headpipe and putting Fullsac Baffes in my CVO mufflers. The bike will run about 30 degrees cooler.
Ive done the same thing to my 131 street glide and believe it or not, the 131 is 40 degrees cooler than the original 114 because it ws dynoed by a pro tuner using the PV.

It will cool it off a lot, especially if you have it Dyno tuned with your PV. I have three bikes, all with the same catless headers and fullsac baffles.. I am in central Florida, so it makes a huge difference in 99 degree stop and go traffic.

Thanks for the info. For stage 1, I would just do a map from Fuel Moto and some auto-tuning and call it good. Decisions... decisions. And I don't want to hijack Hulkss thread.

I worried this might be the case when I put the solo rack and king tour pak on my Highway King, but no problem. The decorative rail around the seat was more of issue. I couldn't move the tour pak all the way forward with it on and it impinged on the back rest. So, I'll take it off when using the tour pak. But the saddlebags open fine.

I have the Custom Dynamics filler lights between my fender and bags. With those lights, I'm wondering if I should just remove the turn signal bar and install the plate under the brake light instead. Hulkss setup probably looks better, but it sounds like I'd have to replace the turn signal bar and add a light and the plate bracket. Not sure if the HD plate light would work with the Customer Dynamics light (I have the CD tail light, turn signals and filler lights with the strobe option).
