First off, nice ride. I have a 2015 that is setup very similarly.

Since you just took delivery of a new FLHP with the shock absorber suspended seat, I'm curious if you or anyone else following this thread might know how the range of adjustment is supposed to be measured. The owner's manual says 'top of shock absorber to top of jamnut' The accompanying diagram below shows the top of the range of adjustment (3) at the top of the threaded section of the shock absorber. And of course the bottom of the range of adjustment in the diagram isn't anywhere near the top of the jamnut (1) I'm 'assuming' that (3) below should be shifted up so the top line is in line with the top of the drawing, but I also know what assuming gets me!

I adjust the spring preload so the rubber bump stops under the seat mounting bracket are about 1/4" off the frame rails when I am seated on the bike. As long as both adjustment nuts are fully threaded I think it's OK.

I started using the Fuelly app after my first service on the bike. Fuel mileage varies from about 30-50 mpg with an average of 42 mpg. Conditions: 32 to 95 degrees F; 500 -10,300 feet altitude; 0-40 mph winds, sustained cruising speeds up to 85 mph (normally mid 60's).

I just went in for the 5000 mile service. Here are some pics of the bike without the Police Tour Pack and Utopia backrest. This is how it stays except for multi-day rides.
I'm really happy with this bike as it is now. My favorite H-D for sure.

I have a question. Does this model of bike have the new yellow and red plastic clutch adjustment in the cable or does it have a conventional metal adjuster?
Oops, just saw the comments regarding above.
Tho the spec sheet states under "Highlights"...
"• Mechanical Adjustable Actuation Clutch".
So it makes me wonder ....

I removed all the plastic pieces and replaced them with metal parts from Fat Baggers
