This thread is going to cost me money. I stopped in two dealers to discuss possibly ordering an FLHP later this year. One dealer was clueless as to whether they could do that or not.

The other dealer not only orders them regulalrly, but took me back in the shop to see one they were outfitting for a customer. They also said the moco told them that while they’ll still make the police Electra Glide, this is the last year for the police Road King.

Will that kick the fan on?

Thanks for the PM Hulkss. I’m headed down this rabbit hole and going to be asking this question of the dealer today about side cars. I’ve got a young granddaughter not old enough to ride on my bikes yet, and had already been thinking about sidecar rigs.

I put these on a 2020 Street Glide, and loved the look. One thing to be aware of, the little set screws they assemble the bag guards with stick out inside the rails and can scratch your bags when removing or reinstalling them. I had some thick rubber tape (think really thick electrical tape) and cut little squares to place over those protruding screw ends. It’s invisible once done and protects the bags .

Default 2021 flhp

Picked up a 2021 road king police from a local dealer.only had 8 miles on it. First harley, at the age of 68 figured it was time to give it a try. Liked the standard opttions on the police model. Background is gold wings and adventure bikes. Loving the comfort of the solo seat just had to add utopia backrest.

I hope you enjoy the FLHP, I'm still waiting for mine. I had a 2018 Gold Wing that I traded for a 2021 Yamaha Super Tenere.

Thanks for the tip. I would be really bummed if I scratched the bags that way.

That was a change!

I'm loving this thread. My all-time favorite is still the Road King. I remember lusting after a "Harley 74" when I was riding my Sportster in the late '60s.

When I sat on a Police model the first thing that popped into my head was: "Oh, hell yes. I can ride this!"

Good luck on the build! Stop buying things or you're going to end up with two of everything on the bike!

Here’s a question. I only ask because my 1995 Road King didn’t have this. (A long time ago, I know)

Does the 2023 FLHP have a voltmeter or other charging system indicator in the dash? I’m assuming it would be in the graphic display that you can scroll through if it has it.
