I have a stock seat. p52000033
i bought a low off Fb marketplace p52164-10.
Mik trying to get forward closer to the bars.
now I’m interested in p52000334. Low reach seat.
does anyone have experience w the low reach seat? Is it worth it?
I already have bars to bring the controls closer to me

Designed to position riders with a shorter inseam closer to the ground, Reach®Seats are shaped to place the rider in a comfortable and confident relationship to the hand and foot controls.
• Wide seating surface provides loads of support while riding and the narrow tapered nose brings your legs together for an easier reach to the ground at a stop
• Features a stepped profile that provides back support and keeps the rider from sliding back during acceleration
• Brings the legs about 1.0" closer together
• Enhanced back support padding that moves the rider .8” lower and 1.5” forward without locking the rider into a cramped position
• Can be equipped with an optional rider backrest for additional touring comfort
• Seat width 15.5"
• Passenger pillion width 16.0"
• Measurements based on Original Equipment Electra Glide® seat

I'm a short guy. When I bought my 14 FLH 4 years ago I did some research on touring bike seats for short riders from HD. I found 4 different HD part numbers for "reach" seats. I'll put my notes below, but remember - this is info from 4 years ago so some things may have changed.
52000334: Legs 1" closer, 0.8" lower, 1.5" fwd, 15.5" wide rider, 16" wide pillion (this is the current replacement part number for the three numbers below) - This is the seat I purchased and have been using ever since.
52000131: Legs 1" closer, stock height, 2" fwd, 14" wide rider, 13.5" wide pillion (this is the "older" reach seat)
52000132: 0.5" lower, 2.5" fwd, 13.5" wide rider, 14" wide pillion (this is called the "super reduced reach seat")
52000173: I did not find specs for this seat, but it is the seat that came from the factory on the Ultra Limited Low bikes. I sat in it at a dealership and it was a "no-go" for me. Your nuts are basically on the tank.
In hindsight, I would have saved some money if I had just sent my factory seat to Mean City Cycles or a similar place to have it modified for me. I'm in the process of having that done now with the reach seat due to the pain I get after about 90 minutes non-stop in the seat. They can lower the seat height, narrow the seat pan, move you forward, and replace the factory foam with a density of foam that suits your weight. Since I already have a reach seat, they won't be lowering my seating position anymore or moving me forward, but they will be narrowing the pan and replacing the foam to suit my weight. I've heard great things about this service so I have high hopes that it'll be worth it.

Good info, thanks for sharing it....
When I bought my 2016 Ultra Classic, as a used bike, it came with a "reach" seat.....
It must have been the #52000173 seat. I rode the bike home, a 1.5 hour ride, and I never rode it again until I had another seat.... That seat was horrible...!!!
Glad to hear not all of the reach seats are implements of torture....!!!
