My 2015 Rushmore lost one in 2017 at around 31K miles, old pump replaced with the old style pump, and then in 2021 it went out again at 87K miles, but this one was replaced with the new style water pump.

I am now at 91K and expect no more water pump problems.

43,000 miles on my 2014, no water pump problems at all. Of course I usually don't ride in weather and conditions where it would need to work. Maybe I should try it out to see if it still works! I seem to recall the problem was a soldered electrical connection would break on them - maybe rough roads play a role in the failure? Its very rare for me to hit a pothole, not due to skill just generally good roads.

That was one of the known problems, but wasn't the fault on mine. Basically the problem is poor quality manufacture, in a typical HD go to the cheapest supplier case, and a pump that was grossly not fit for purpose.

That's awesome. But I would go ahead and at least order the updated pump. With supply issues, they may not have it if & when yours goes out. Odds say it will happen.

Good luck!

My 2014 Limited had the water pump replaced at 58K back in 2017 before the new pumps came out. I now have a little over 128K on the bike with that same pump. So your right "knock on wood".

Sold my 14 Limited in October of 2021. 49,828 miles on the original pump.
