Jmatero,

If you had to estimate, how much closer do you think you got the bars to you switching from the 10" to the 12" twin peaks? I have the 10" and like them, but if they were an inch higher and an inch closer, they would be perfect. Ive wondered if the 12" rolled back would achieve that. Do you think you got that going from 10 to 12 inch? Like you said, the 10s can't really be rolled back hardly at all. I really like the look of the twin peaks and I like that they are not a mile wide like a lot of the bars.

I just put in an order for the 12 inch KST Patriot Baggers. I will attach a picture to this thread once I get them installed. I'm 5'9" and I am looking to pull them back so I can be more comfortable. The patriots are 34" wide with 6.5" pullback and the 6 bends are 36" with 6 inches pullback.

Let us know how they work out if you don't mind. Sounds like another possibility.

Hello Udawg,

I really like the look of the bars and for me, the handling is greatly improved over the stock bars. The only con I have is the bars put your hands slightly above the fairing, but this is only a problem when the temperature is around freezing. I bought heated gloves, so this is not an issue for me during the winter months. In the summer heat, it feels great. From my research, many of the other aftermarket companies have the span of the bars much wider, and I wanted to keep them as much behind the fairing as I could. I think it looks better and handles better for people with shorter arms. KST has been great about answering questions and helped me decide on the 12 over the 10 inch. Great company to deal with.

Best Regards,

Thanks Cruchy, I really love the looks and think I may end up going that way too. Is the pullback enough to be comfortable for you?

You're welcome, the pullback is very comfortable for me. No issues there. I have no desire to change my bars and I have about 8,000 miles on the bike since I installed them. If you like the look, you won't be disappointed with the comfort. One thing I forgot to mention, since the bars are 1.5" diameter, pulling the wires through was pretty easy if you are thinking about doing this yourself.

Regards,

CT
