Default Most Miles Anyone Has On Old Style Water Pump?

Everyone is always complaining about old style water pump going out. .
My pump had not gone bad. Had 26600 miles on my 2015 Limited Low and was tired of worrying about when it would. So I changed it. However I took my old pump apart today and it looked like new on the inside. Don't know if it would have ever gone bad. Just wondering how many have had good luck with old style pump and how many miles they have gone with no pump problems?

I'm probably going to jinx myself, but I'm at 54,803 miles with the original pump on my '14 Ultra Limited.

hopefully I don't jinx myself either, but my original pump went bad at 58K in early 2017. The new replacement pump was not out at that time so it was replaced with the original style of pump and thermostat. I am at 123,000 miles and it it still working.

14 Limited, original pump went our at around 63k, have about 9k on the new style. Although it's by all accounts a better pump, I liked the old style on demand pump over the new style constant on variable speed pump. I spend a lot of time on the highway pegs and my bike is tuned well, the old pump didn't run much while cruising on the open road, now when it's hot out there is always at least warm air flowing across my legs even if the fans aren't running.

That old pump ran all the time also, you just didn't feel it when the thermostat is not open and allowing coolant to flow threw the system. Both pumps are constant run pumps.

That new pump will cool the engine better.

My first bike the pump went out around 55k. My current bike has around 40k and still original pump. I will see how far it makes it I know I'm on borrowed time.

My first pump went out at 4500 miles. New design wasn't out yet. Currently 40,000 on this pump.

Since I'm keeping this bike. Looks like it was a good idea to change it. Thanks guys for you comments.
