Most Miles Anyone Has On Old Style Water Pump?
Everyone is always complaining about old style water pump going out. .
My pump had not gone bad. Had 26600 miles on my 2015 Limited Low and was tired of worrying about when it would. So I changed it. However I took my old pump apart today and it looked like new on the inside. Don't know if it would have ever gone bad. Just wondering how many have had good luck with old style pump and how many miles they have gone with no pump problems?

14 Limited, original pump went our at around 63k, have about 9k on the new style. Although it's by all accounts a better pump, I liked the old style on demand pump over the new style constant on variable speed pump. I spend a lot of time on the highway pegs and my bike is tuned well, the old pump didn't run much while cruising on the open road, now when it's hot out there is always at least warm air flowing across my legs even if the fans aren't running.

That new pump will cool the engine better.
