Default Whim

When I install the whim on my 17 CVO Limited will I lose the 7 pin plug if I want to use it? Thank for any help

Have you actually tested this? I did and the wired headset does work on mine even though I have a WHIM and use the Sena HD wireless headset.

That sounds great fordhd2005! I guess I'll find out soon enough. It's all new to me. I'm an old guy so there's a lot to learn with this communication stuff! Thanks for the input!

I don't know how that's even possible, you have to unplug the wired headset and plug in the whim using the same harness, I Installed my WHIM and that's how I had to do it.

Adding the WHIM, you can still use a hard wired set however, the mic is dead. You can get everything except the mic.

Ive not verified this, but this has been my understanding as well. But, even though I use the Sena and not the Whim, now that I’ve gone wireless I have no desire to go hardwired ever again.
