I've been running the solo for years, so yes, the pass. footboards are off the bike. I have them in a box nearby and can reinstall in a few minutes, but with small kids and a busy life I'm not likely to put them back on any time soon. Even my new Lepera seat is really a solo as it tapers out in the back!

Bike looks so much cleaner with no footboards out back!

. Been thinking of something to change up this winter. Pretty much got everything else I'd like done, so was thinking maybe a good looking, but comfy seat then it occurred to me. A seat that provides the sensation of losing "in" the bike instead of "on" the bike like my Softail. Does a seat as this exist?
T.I.A. guys!😁
You might want to take a look at HD's low profile touring seat. I think it's a good looking comfy seat (IMO) that will give you the sitting in the bike feeling. However, my wife didn't care for the comfort of the passenger pillion compared to the stock seat.
Being that it's an HD seat, you should be able locate one at a dealer that you can try out before buying (rather than ordering a seat that you haven't tried).

I got the HD Brawler... and it doesn't push me forward far enough to give me the right wrist angle on my bars (I swapped out for an RK Special black set) and it also means that if I want to turn the bike while sitting still I loose contact with one of the bar grips. The mustang looks like it might be a better choice for me. I'm 6'2" and it seems odd that I can't reach both grips on a full turn. I would be wary of getting lower on a brawler without checking it out on the bike.

I ride solo so mine are off all the time also. I have the piece that covers the bolt holes that someone on here suggested.
Cleans it up nicely.

I just remembered... Although the HD Low Profile drops you down nicely, it also sits you back about 2". At 6" that might be okay for you, but you might want to try it out first if possible.
