Default T-Bars on Rushmore Street Glide

Specifically, the Kraus risers and T-Rex pullback plate. Does anybody know of a good instructional video or at least a write-up for doing this work at home?

Thanks

Kind of hard doing that on a batwing fairing isn’t it?

Matt Laidlaw has a video of one the dealership installed about a year ago on an M8 SGS. He mentions in the video that his technicians had to alter wiring that “a weekend garage guy” might not perform as well. He called them “homeboys”.

I’m just curious what the appeal is. Is it just the look or more that I am missing?

above pics arent T bars, those look more like a Y. Look a little like mountain bike handlebars put on a Harley.

Although I can see why you'd say it looks like a "Y", I am confident it is call an MX style T-Bar, the MX being from motor cross. Rather than being a one piece like you'd get from West Coast T-Bars, Dominator Industries FXR Division, these are a two piece style that allows some minor adjustability..

This video doesn't specifically show you how to install the setup, however it does show you how to remove everything down to the top tree. With the use of the T-Rex Plate, you can either leave the switch panel disconnected or you can modify it by removing the switches and making access holes for the risers to come thru. Personally, I would find a second panel to modify so I could have the original one just incase. I hope the video helps out a little.

yea motocross flavor makes sense. I guess to me, if you're going to T, why bother w/ a SGlide. In each pic above the risers are blocking the navigation/music screen.
To each their own I guess, but if I were gonna T, it wouldn't be on a bagger.
