Default HD Stretched Bags

Just picked up some HD OEM stretched bags for my 2014 Street Glide. I was told that starting in 17' these bags were standard on the Street Glides. They fit perfectly even though I have a Rinehart aftermarket exhaust. My question is: What is the general consensus on the installment of these bags? Am I changing out the fender, adding a different fascia around the fender, or just leaving the stock 14' Street glide fender as is ? Is there a different fender or fascia for the CVO model? Just trying to get some ideas and have someone point me in the right direction before I have the bags painted.

Thanks
Christopher

Lower rear fender extension is a popular upgrade when adding stretched bags for the SG's. Several aftermarket options.

You don't need to do anything to the rear fender, I have 4.5" stretched bags on my SG and they are perfect length match the rear fender. I have 2 into 1 D&D exhaust so one side of my bag has no cutout and they look great.

Like everything, it depends on the look YOU want, how much you want to spend. I just switched from some aftermarket extended bags to HD's stretched bags. Bought a set from another member here and had the RGU's pinstripe put on them. Still deciding if I like the stretched as well as or better than the extended lol but I didn't do the extended fender because I like my run/turn/brake lights in-between the bags and fender. Where the bags come up and around the exhaust is about level with the bottom of the fender... so I'll call it good enough. But, if you want that wrap around the exhaust look and the fender to flow to and with the bags... you got some more parts to buy it is a personal preference thing. Here's a shot for reference.

I like the stretched bag AND fender look. Not sure I like it a thousand dollars worth. I think I prefer the aftermarket bags that are longer the length of the bag an not just in back like the new HD bags. There are a lot of things I think I don't care for until I see it on the right bike or the right combo. poor execution of a great idea still looks bad.

The only reason I don't have them is I'm trying to avoid stuff like that so I can retire in a year or 2. Gotta stop buying HD parts, guns, guitars an 4X4 parts!

I hear ya buddy, I'm retiring in 285 days, but if you don't buy all that cool stuff now, how much fun is retirement going to be without all that stuff, lol??
