Has anyone heard of the lift by Kendon - any other good lifts out there for around the same price for a touring model HD

I cant speak for it as I haven't seen one in person, but this is the lift I've been contemplating buying.

I have a Direct lift paid around $650 for it had it about five years now, works great no issues also purchased the extensions for my ATV's also. when not using it for bikes it makes a handy work space for other things

I know Kendon has made a name building light, portable, stand-up, store out of the way trailers. My friend has one of their two bike trailers, he loves it, but I'm not a fan... too flimsy for me to put one of my bikes on, let alone two... but my friend has yet to have an issue with it, that he has shared with me anyways...

Now looks like they are getting into the lift table market.... with the same premise... light, portable, stand-up, store out of the way.... great concept... but...

Your touring bike weighs 900+ lbs... I wouldn't trust it to a lift with a max lift weight of 1000lbs, AND the lift itself only weighs 185lbs....

I have a lift table that has a max lift weight of 1750lbs... I like that buffer... but the main difference is that my lift weighs 540lbs...... I can't imagine wrenching on my bike on a lift table, at full height, that weighs less than half as much.... I would worry too much about the stability...

Just my 2 cents....

My friend and I have the HF table and it has no problem holding my ‘15 LTD. We’ve done plenty of work on both bikes on it including taking the wheels off to replace the tires. We paid less then $300 for it and it’s 3-4 years old. No leaks or any other issues.

Thanks - the 1,000 max lift might have something to do with the lifting capacity vs the stability of the lift itself - Mallard showed a pic of his Direct lift which is also rated 1,000 lbs & 5yrs no proplems

Thanks for the input - can you move the lift around the floor with the bike in the air?
besides using it to work on, I was hoping I could use it for winter storage and move the bike out of the way in my garage

I am very surprised that its not rated for more because when I bought it I in person looked at several makes and models and this one appeared to be built the best out of the others I looked at!! its design is very close to a Handy lift but utilizes heavier materials in its construction

I wouldn't recommend moving it around with the bike in the air but I have moved around with a bike on it in the lowered position, its quite heavy even without a bike on it the lift itself is around 450 lbs

I’ve got a Kendon but to be honest, I haven’t used it since I got my J&S jack. It always worked well, especially with the air over hydraulic option.
