Motorcycle lifts
#11
It's not the 1000lb max capacity that concerns me, many people are successfully using 1k lifts for Harley Baggers... I just like a higher capacity for a feel good factor.......
But rather it's the weight of the lift itself... the Kendon lift is advertised as weighing only 185lbs.... by comparison the Direct Lift weighs 400+ lbs, and my lift weighs 540lbs.... I think overall stability, regardless of design, has to be affected by the weight of the lift to a large degree...
Again, just my opinion.....

I've already have a similar jack like that (Craftsman) but I have my air compressor for the rear shocks is mounted by the oil pan & have to remove it to get to the oil plug - I have to raise the bike up, remove the air compressor, lower it, re position the jack to change the oil, then repeat the process to put everything back - just looking at alternatives
Hope all is well - and you enjoyed your trip here to Colorado a few years back

I cant speak for it as I haven't seen one in person, but this is the lift I've been contemplating buying.

What I use is a Pittsburgh Wheel Chock from Harbor Freight. I have a bike jack and I like that the wheel chock will hold the bike upright and sturdy while I can get to all the plugs to drain for service. I have trouble getting into and out of the chock so I use the jack to lift bike and put chock under front tire and then lower jack to get free standing bike. Just reverse to get bike out. Hope that helps...goldie
