Have to turn hazards on and off for bike to start
About a month ago I walked out of restaurant and found my four way flashers flashing. Turned them off and drove off without thinking too much about it.
Now, twice in the last week, I turn on ignition to start the bike. The lights all come on, fuel pump pumps, hit start button - nothing.
So I turn hazard flashers on, then back off and the bike starts right up.
Anybody have this happen?
Hoping just need a new starter/hazard switch.

A few days ago while moving my bike in the garage I dropped it over. The crash bars did their job and caught the bike. The alarm of course activated. Lights flashing, I get the bike upright and still lights keep flashing. The alarm just keeps going and the bike will not start. I could not get the alarm to deactivate. I eventually thought could this be the hazards, well even if it is what would that have to do with the bike not starting. So I turn on ignition and hit the hazards button, the lights stop flashing and the alarm resets and deactivates and the bike starts right up. If your bike has an alarm it could have something to do with the the the alarm sensor.

Change your fob battery and see if it clears up. It may be that the battery is just weak enough that it’s triggering security. When my battery is going dead I notice that I have to be right against the bike instead of a few feet and also it takes a few seconds before disarming if I walk up and jump on fast. Start with the simplest things first. Also check for codes.

Thanks for the replies.
My bike has no fob or alarm.
A Harley tech check for codes last night and didn't find any. He is 90% sure it needs a new switch pack. Says he replaced a fair amount of them because of similar symptoms.
I'm going to let him replace that since esp should cover it unless I pinched a wire when I swapped bars. The bars were swapped 3 years ago, shortly after I bought the bike. So I doubt it's that.
