Default Handlebar Thread - Apes no higher than fairing

I'm starting my search for some taller bars for my 2015 Limited Low.

I'm tired of the really low stock bars. If I put my hands up onto the tops of the mirrors, it seems to be the perfect height.... The stock low bars have a pullback of 13" and I can deal with about 9-12" give or take. I think I want a bar with less bend or angle to the handlebars. I don't want to go above the fairing.

Talking with LA Choppers they have a new bar called Grande Twin Peaks that have a 10" pullback and wrist angle is 33 degrees...

The width might be an issue since they are 36.5" wide...that's 3" wider than the stock low bars...

Anybody put their hands on these bars yet?

Any other options for what I am looking for?

I've heard good things about the Wild1 WO578s. A 10 Inch mini ape with good bends and sits just under the fairing.

That’s what I’m running on my 2003.

Wild One WO578
Yaffe 10 inch Monkey bars

I have ran both above. The Wild Ones are extremely comfortable. They are wide however. The Yaffe’s look great.

For me I am 6’1” tall and Yaffe 12 inch are most comfortable for me. However they are just above the fairing. See picture in signature.

Good luck

LA Choppers Twin Peaks 10". Bad angle but right at top of fairing. Not too wide.

I run the wild 1 WO579 bars an they put my hands right in front of the mirrors so I had to add mirrors to the bars. They are 1.25" so the inner fairing doesn't clear an you have to tweak an trim to clear them. I wish I could stand them up more but the slots in the inner fairing are for 1" bars. I like the peak bars too but was afraid of problems running wires in them. It's a pain in the @$$ adjusting the bars since you have to snug them an position the fairing if in the right position tilt the fairing forward again to tighten the risers then position the fairing again.....I was thinking about trying to head the inner fairing up some with a heat gun with the bars loosely mounted an pushing them forward into the bar slots to get them more upright.

I'm very happy with the Straight Jacket bar I got from KST. It's a 12" bar and the pullback is not too severe.

Looks like you could have used the WO578s. They are more upright.

10" will do the trick.....12" is a little higher than the fairing...….I can only speak for Street Glide.
