Default Front suspension

I am thinking of upgrading then front suspension on my streetglide. I am looking at the pro action form kit and the legend axeo. I am a pretty light rider (125lbs). I am looking for a plush type ride. Recommendations?

You could talk to George and see what he can do setup wise for you. I have mono tubes in mine and they are not what I would call plush. I have heard the same about the Axeo's. The Pro Action kit is pretty cheap.

Bitubo came out with a fully adjustable cartridge kit for HD's recently. I haven't heard of any reviews yet but if they are like their shocks they should be pretty decent.

If you are aiming for plush you probably want to call Howard Messner at Motorcycle Metal about his Ohlins cartridge setup. https://www.motorcyclemetal.com/index.html

I went with the Progressive cartridge system and it handles great in my opinion but it's nowhere near plush.

Have you upgraded your rear suspension.....?

I have heard a very general rule of thumb is that the rear suspension mostly affects the ride/comfort and the front suspension mostly affects the handling...

My point being if a "plush" ride is what you're after, you should probably start with the rear shocks.... especially with a street glide which has the shorter rear shocks...

I wish I never touched my rear suspension because it glaringly pointed out how bad the front really is.................sigh another $1000.00 now needed.

Yes I upgraded the rear suspension to pro-actions new piggyback shocks. I am still fine tuning them but the front end needs help.

I think anything is an upgrade to the 1950s suspension technology Harley uses on these bikes

I’m just going to add a heavier fork oil to the front and call it a day. I wasn’t overly impressed with the shocks I put on the rear anyways. Those pro-actions look sweet though.

If you are doing suspension, if I was you, I wouldn't call anyone BUT Howard. I had him do the front end for my 1994 FXR, and now he's doing the front end and rear suspension from my 1999 FXR3. Howard is 2nd to none.

The rear pro-actions are pretty sweet but still need some fine tuning. George and DJ are bringing me a lighter spring to try at sturgis. I think that will help but my front end feels like junk. I currently have the H-D solo cartridge lowered fork kit but it feels very choppy. I want a soft plush type ride. Not the pogo stick ride I am getting from my front.
