Default Alternate to tour pack?

At the risk of looking like a dork, I thought about this as an alternate to the tour pack. It gets very good reviews on Amazon, is dust and water proof, and at $281 for one that is comparable in size to a tour pack, is much cheaper. Haven't made up my mind yet, just trying to consider all options. I would probably only use it a few times a year.

With the s**t I've seen people put on their bikes, I don't think you would win a dork prize if you installed it. I say go for it.

Looks pretty functional to me, but yeah it is ugly. I would say if you are just using it for some trips then go for it. Price is right and you don't have to worry about scuffing up a thousand dollar tour pak in storage that you would only use a couple times a year.

You would be $300 closer to having something that looks like it belongs if you dont buy. There are plenty of aftermarket options that while not perfect, looks the part and wont cost a fortune.

You spend thousands on a bike, but want permission to install a hunk of **** on it? You know it's brutal or you would not be seeking approval. NEVER would I put that on my ride.

I think bikes pulling trailers look stupid.
I think guys trailering bikes look stupid.
I think big wheel bikes look stupid.
I think loud exhausts are stupid.
I think get back whips are stupid.
I think people blasting their music are stupid.
I think bikes that can go 150 MPH are stupid.
I think dyno sheets are stupid.
I think half the members of H-D forums are stupid.
I think dressing up like a biker is stupid.
I think doo-rags are stupid.
I think people who don't wear helmets are stupid.

I don't think any of those things, but do you see my point? Do what makes YOU happy. Screw everyone else. Ride your own ride.

It's your ride and your life go for it if that's what you want. There are oem pre Rushmore tour paks on the bay and Craigslist in addition to the forum. I personally would go that route.
