Looks like a big hunk a **** to me. Your bike though. Isn't an aftermarket tour pak only around $500-700?

Honestly OP, I don't think it looks that bad, especially if you're only planning to use it a couple of times a year. My logic says that $300 would be better spent on a used tour pack though.

Here ya go. It'll cost you an additional $7, but it'll look less like a European bike, AND you'll have a backrest & luggage rack:
