Default 12” Monkey Bars - do I need extensions?

I’m considering swapping out the stock bars on my 2015 Road Glide to 12” Monkey Bars. Will I need extensions for the wiring and longer clutch and brake lines?

Shouldn't have to. I put 14's on mine (2016 Road Glide Ultra) and used all stock cables and wires

Should be fine with 12s. If you're paranoid buy the 4" wire extensions from NAMZ just to be safe, cheap peace of mind. Clutch and brake will be fine.

Most likely not. But the 15s have the green clip on the TBW which is rough pulling through the monkeys 1,25 bars with tight angles.

I have done three sets of bars now and I have used the Namz wire extensions on all three, Just makes it easier.

2016 Limited with Wild One WO578
2017 Limited with 10 inch Monkey Bars
2017 Limited with 12 inch Monkey Bars

The first two I pulled the connectors through. The third I de-pinned the connectors. Go to YouTube and watch the videos on how to de-pin. Takes a little more time but well worth it in the long run.

Good luck and take your time.

So I need the CANBUS extensions plus the TBW extension from Namz?

You don’t need them. But if you feel so inclined you would only get the ones for the controls the TBW is super long.

Oh and on the 15 you will have to de-pin the TBW as it uses the older large connector.

Factory 47 has a great youtube vid on the install. The only thing I will add is not to use the pull chain that they suggest it gets caught up in the hard corners. Some have suggested to use the Weedwhacker line or some thin metal cable such as a throttle cable. 36” is more than enough.

ohh and do not forget to pull the maxi fuse before you start. The proper procedure for the new bikes is to have the fob near the bike turn on your ignition when the red security light goes out pull the fuse.

Just curious where are you located? I would have no problem helping you out if your local.

Thanks for the tips. I’m curious as to why you pull the fuse with the power on.

Thanks for for the offer of help, but MO would be a bit of a hike.
