Default 2019 Limited gps/ride planner

I was used to the gps on my 14 Limited. Now, I’m finding that there is a steep learning curve on my 19 Limited’s gps. I’m having trouble moving a ride from either the Harley app ride planner or the flashdrive. Is there someplace on this site I should start digging into? Any tips from fellow riders?

Go to your dealer & purchase a 6,5GTS Manual. Then sit down & start reading.

Click the search button, then swipe to the left. Click import.
Just going from memory, if those instructions are not exact, they should get you close

Download the PDF. Better than the paper manual.

greg09997 is right. Personally, if I had that system, I would use Apple carplay and project google maps with my built route on that.

Don't know when they made the PDF copy available, but glad for your comment. Link didn't work for me, but was able to find it quickly. Last fall I did a copy/paste PDF build but found it as difficult to use as the SIP itself. I bought the manual, but I concur, the PDF download is better than the paper manual (and cheaper too).

It is said that if you have the new H-D Ride Planner app on your phone. Plug phone in and it will run from that.

Does this have to be an IPhone or will it work with an Android?

From my understanding, it has to be an iPhone. I considered updating my 14 to the new radio - but it does not work with the Android

Not quite right. It's the H-D app. Not a Ride Planner app. The H-D app interfaces between the radio & your Ride Planner account on line. From the radio, through the H-D app on the phone, the radio accesses & downloads the Ride Planner route to the radio & then you run the route from the radio. Once the GPX file downloads, you can disconnect or turn off the phone w/o a problem run the GPX file on the Nav. This process works so slick, it happens faster than you could import the same GPX file from a USB stick. I was pleasantly surprised how easily this function works.
