Noticed that my license plate light wasn't working on my 2014 SGS 18,000 miles. Did a search and picked up a replacement LED 194 styled bulb. Took it apart and it appears to be a LED rectangular unit. Since this bike has a BCM type wiring system, and most LED components don't fail, not sure where to look. I tried to get the two wire feed wire to the LED to light up my test lamp but no luck. It seems that I have no power to the LED unit?
Any help in where to test next would be greatly appreciated.
The bike has only been caught in the rain twice it's entire history. No corrosion found anywhere under the rear fender.

 

Follow the wire? I see all kinds of LEDs out on a lot of late model cars. You are right, LED components don't fail but junk does.

 

So am I the only person that has had their license plate light go out on a Rushmore?
