Default what's up with my music?

So, I have 60 or so songs loaded onto a "shockproof" 10gig usb stick. Every so often a song skips like if you were to bump an old cd player, sometimes it cuts to the FM radio and then back to the song on my flash drive. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't think its a connection issue as it reoccurs at the same spot in certain songs (like if there were a scratch on the track). Any insight would be greatly appreciated. !!

I would look at th chap say things first...

Have you tried any different thumb drives?

I think I would look at the drive first. Long shot but did something happen to the song during the file transfer?

that's likely what I'm about to try and just redo my set set let, such a pain in the *** though. I wasn't sure if this was something that others have run into.

I usually stream bluetooth from my phone and still have problems similar to this. Sometimes it happens when I skip a song, doesn’t matter if its with iTunes, Pandora, Spotify or iHeart Radio, the radio will just kick back to FM. Just about every time I switch from one of those to another it also kicks back to FM. It’s like the com connection gets broken.

I plug my phone in and use Pandora all of the time.
Sometimes when I skip a song it will just stop playing, which is a pain because I have to get my phone out of the cubby to push play again and I am usually not in a good spot to do so.

Does it just skip "Country" songs ? It might be biased...
If a new USB does the same, might check the version software on the Boom ? New, old ?

As was mentioned you may try another thumb drive. I have experienced this a couple time streaming from my phone each time when I cam to a stop I unplugged the phone from my USB cable and the USB cable from the bike and re-plugged everything and it worked fine, my guess is I did not have a good connection on one end or the other.
Not sure if you are plugging the USB stick directly in to the bike or with a usb cord between, either way it could be as simple as that connection. Make sure they are connected well. Another thought is clean the metal part of the USB stick that plugs in with a alcohol pad then use some of that canned air made for cleaning computers to shot a burst into the USB port on the bike. If you have a little fuzz, trash or dust in the USB connections it could give you those symptoms as well

I am not sure what size stick the Boom can handle. When I used 10, it had some issues. When I used 4 or 8, I didn't have any problems.

Plus, I discovered the 10 takes forever to load - while it played, it often said "Reading"

I use a 32gb stick with no issues. I am only using 17.2gb of it. It has 2134 songs which gives me 6 days of music.
The songs are stored in 206 folders and accessed with 83 playlists.

Once the entire stick has been read into the boom box it should stop "reading". If you modify the stick or put in
a different one then it will go into "reading" again.
