My 16 SGS has the loudest motorcycle horn I’ve ever heard. As previously mentioned, it’s louder than my car horns. Shockingly loud. Go to a dealer and try the horn on one of their used Rushmore bikes.

Recently switched out the horn for the Drag Specialties 2107-0156 on my 16 Ultra Limited Low. Happy with the ease of installation and the sound out of it. Very loud! Pitch is a little higher than I expected but it cuts clear across the neighborhood. Wife heard it from 3 blocks over in normal daily traffic noise (disclaimer: of course, she was listening for it). Been on for about a week, will repost if anything changes to make my unhappy.

I've got a mini beast sitting on the shelf. Only reason I removed it was that I changed up the look. It's the black ribbed oval one. Before the changed to plastic.

That to hear the positive report. I think that's the same one I just bought for my Sporty. I haven't had a chance to install it yet, but will do it before I ride it again.

Default Horns

Greetings

I purchased the low note freeway blaster but haven't installed yet. I do like the idea of using the space under the right side cover and mount there. I do love the clean look. I am still interested in ideas.

I finally got a chance to install the Drag Specialties electric horn on my 98 Sportster. It was listed as 110 db but it's not and I didn't believe that anyway, More like 86 db. To realistically get to 110 you're probably going to have to go with an air horn, with an added relay. It was however inexpensive and very easy to install. Not exactly the same as if I was installing a stock horn, but close enough that I didn't have to do any major work to get in installed. Wiring was simply unclip the 2 stock wires from the the tabs at the back of the old horn, reattach to new horn in the same manner. In my case the black wire was at the rear of the bike. Total time was probably a leisurely ten minutes. At least I can easily hear it over my exhaust pipes going down the road, which I barely could with my shameful pathetic stock horn.

If you've got a stock Harley horn that is over 100 db I'd like to know what it is so I can get it too. iI've read somewhere the stock pre 13 horns were 80 db. Although a 5 db increase doesn't sound like much, it's actually more significant than it sounds.

I have a 2014 Road King, and don't think my horn is all that loud.
