Default Nuetral safety switch again

2014 Ultra. 47K miles. Going on 3rd neutral safety switch replacement. I checked you tube for a simple "fix". Didn't really find one. Did find one where the service guy replaced the entire control section of the clutch. Stock replacement is about $220. Upgraded lighted one was about $250. Bike is still under warranty. Unable to ride due to a broken leg. Maybe getting back on it mid May. Is there an easier more cost effective way to clean a moving part or something rather than spending $250 every couple of years (bike is out of warranty May 31 this year)? If I have to I will have my friend ride it over to HD to have it fixed before the warranty runs out but I am looking down the road as well. This is bound to happen again if this is the 3rd time it's happened.
Thanks to all
Jeff

The latest switch packs seem to be holding up. Get it in under your warranty and get the new switch. Might get a new lever to go with it.

Call your dealer - explain you broke your leg. My bet is they may be willing to come get your bike, especially since it is under warranty.

Plus, I would make sure you document your prior failures. Oftentimes, when the same part fails, the manufacturer is willing to fix the bike or extend the warranty on that malfunction.

I saw a you tube video that suggested going with the upgraded model. I will do tact HD tomorrow and see what we can do.

I have the lighted switches - been on my bike since sometime in 2014 and I have not had any problems.

The lighted switch pack is $250 for both the left and right. Consider asking the dealer to replace both - he may not even charge you for the difference - especially since this has been repaired so many times before. If he wants to charge you - ash him to call Harley and explain

I had my left switch pack fail twice, both times under warranty. The second time, the dealer offered to replace it with the lighted switch and I would pay a discount price for the right side lighted pack. I have the lighted switches now for over a year and have had no issues.

Called the dealer I usually do bidniz with. They will gladly tow it in and back for $60 per trip. May call my roadside assistance and have it towed in. Gonna ask someone I trust to ride her in for me before I call roadside assistance.
And I will definitely see about getting both sides done.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.
Jeff
