On a positive note!
I purchased a set of V&H dual slash cuts for my '15 SG. I got a decent price as they were show room only and because of packaging could not be sold as new. Installed them a few weeks ago, ran the bike and sounded better than the stock pipes I had on since buying the bike new.
I took the bike out Sunday and noticed a rattle on the left side. Immediately researched and came up thinking this was a bad baffle. I checked yesterday to find out the slip on had loosened up enough to rattle against the heat shield. Big relief.
I've asked for help here dozens of times and have literally gotten expert or at the least good experienced advice. Thought I'd throw out something encouraging on this one.

The ECM will account for some changes in exhaust and/or changes in air cleaner (more airflow), but will be pretty lean in the open loop portion of the tables if you do both....
Having said that, even a completely stock bike will benefit from a tune/map.
If you are planning to add a high flow air cleaner in the near future, you can wait for the air cleaner and then tune/map. If the exhaust is the only mod you plan on doing, I would get a map/tune in the near future...
What I would do (should say have done) is buy a PowerVision tuner from FuelMoto. You get lifetime map support from both FuelMoto and DynoJet that way...
I have three bikes, all added to my PowerVision tuner. I always put an improved stock map on them when I get them (if they are stock). I then add the FuelMoto or DynoJet recommended map, as I add mods. I will also, just for fun, run a basic autotune (you can do that with a basic PowerVision tuner) to further dial in the map to my bike. I have found almost every map from FuelMoto has had only a 4% average map cell change, from an auto tune session.... that's a pretty good tune.
There are many other choices, but that is the route I went... all three bikes run really well and I am satisfied....
