Default Infotainment system screen lit up but its blank

Bike is a 2015 FLHTCU with 6.5 screen, when I got it out of storage this year I started it and noticed that the infotainment screen has its backlight on and the display is grey. I can't remember which version of software I had installed if that makes a difference.
Has anyone ran into this or have any ideas on fixes? Girlfriend was laid off so cash is tight right now, so I can't get it into the dealership right away.

Have you tried a reset?

Reset Infotainment

1. Turn IGN OFF. Wait 15 seconds.

2. Press and hold power/mute button. Turn IGN? to ACC.

3. Continue to press power button for 2 seconds after the WARNING screen is displayed.

4. Release power/mute button and accept warning.

The service menu may display Diag Service not Availiable when a menu option is initially selected. This message will clear once the system has finished performing the power-on process. Options are: DTCs, Audio, Display, Key input, Component menus, Version info, Reset, Touchscreen.

***Reset: Pre-calibration reset: Restores fatory default settings. This is recommended when there are radio symptoms and no DTCs*

Post calibration save: Archives customers settings so that they can be restored after a Post calibration Reset.

Post calibration reset: Resets the radio to factory default settings and restores the last archive data stored during Post calibration Save.

Were you getting all the display messages during the reset procedure?

No, I waited a bit and touched where it is on the display, I tried reset 5 times.
I get sound and can change the fm stations by pressing along the edges. I'm going to talk to the dealership but I'm sure they will blame it on my amp that has worked fine for over a year.

Had this happen to me once. It was on a start up during the day after I had been playing with different night display options. Screen was dimmed so low it appeared as if the display wasn't working at all. This was prior to the high contrast screen option being added.

IIRC I was able to fix it via "blind" entries made using the manual & joysticks. It was difficult back then, before all the software updates & menu changes. Would guess it would be almost impossible now.

If this is the issue, might be able to see the screen enough to change display options if OP can put ignition to ACC in a completely dark garage? IDK

One more thing to try, I had a different issue with mine early on where the nav portion went blank in the middle of a trip. When I got to a dealer the tech pulled the main fuse under the side cover for a min and fixed the problem. He told me at that time that this would fix a lot of problems with these units. Worth a try.
