Exactly, TY. I plan on doing upgrades mostly as $$ allows, tuner/breather. I'll be putting on the V$H dual slash cut. I'm hearing really good things about these pipes.
Yes plan on getting both tuner and breather, J&P cycles had the same article saying the same thing. It isn't necessary but will make a big difference. My money is on making all the upgrades.
One of my concerns, never did like that popping sound, had it on my night train so I'll add the tuner quicker if this happens
Yeah you'll definitely get some popping when you swap the mufflers, the stock mufflers soak this up so it's not noticeable. When you swap the mufflers the baffles are basically gone depending on what you go with and the muffler is smaller and so on hence the much sweeter sound.
The FP3 will absolutely take care of the popping, simple click of a button and it's gone! I can run my bike up to the redline then dump the throttle and let it unwind and don't get even a hiccup.
I have the Vance & Hines dual slash cuts. 4" diameter same as the stock but I'm not done. I plan on the tuner 1st, then a new breather as $$ allows.
Appreciate all the response - spot on info from this forum.
big thumbs up on the FP3 - love mine and awesome service , i have VH eliminator 400 slip-ons, and a VH head pipe , with a set of 255 Cams , set up works amazing for my needs
I put the monster V & H Slip on Ovals on my 2016 SGS last year , this winter I bought the fp3 and will be buying the required breather and will have that done by spring , that much I know , I have the option to swap out the stock pips for stock pipes with the cat removed , I understand this helps to support the other things mentioned not to mention the sound , can I get a Ya or Na on this , thanks
to each their own and opinions vary - keep with all the VH product - go the extra mile and install a VH power dual headpipe , their product works amazing all together . but just my opinion

Killing the cat, will certainly help your bike run cooler, just select a FP3 map for an aftermarket header. I used VH Power Duals
