would have expected the 17 RG to have been equipped with the HD Daymaker. It's a very good headlight and I ride a bit in the dark. Looks like the Custom Dynamics could save you some bucks and made in the USA to boot.

Daymakers are going to be better than the stock halogens, but our Road Glide TruBEAM headlamp is the brightest option. The last time I took the Road Glide out, it was lighting up everything in front and on either side of the road.

Here's a video of the headlamp in action:

The only option I am aware of at this time is the new Custom Dynamics LED:

That said, if you feel the stock Road Glide headlight isn't as bright as it should be, adjust it upwards a little. Most come from the factory focused a little low.

15+ Road Glide come stock with LEDs. If you are having troubles seeing at night, you may want to adjust them up some. Mine were shining low from the factory, and some tweaking has them perfect now. I feel no need to upgrade, as I think it gives fantastic light.

I second this opinion. The stock LEDs are as bright as you'll ever need them to be. I also had to adjust mine up a bit, as they were low.

Most 15+ bikes came with the headlights too low. Adjust them before doing anything else. Then, I would look at the CD lights.

on my 16 i adjusted the lights, and adjusted the lights, then i adjusted them some more. Had a real hard time swallowing the price for the CD's.....wife said do it. I would do it again in a heart beat. Yes they are pricy. I talked to them to see if the pro-beams were in the works and they said not that they knew. So I got the true beams. Those things are brights and they give a lot more road side light then stock for sure. Still hard to swallow the price but not unhappy i did it either. I go to work at 4 a.m. and deer are a major factor so i wanted more light on the side of the road. They give it to me for sure. Brights are a tunnel of light in front of me and the lows stay on with the brights. The halloe's are pretty nice too. I would say 60% or more light then stock.

Also the above video from CD does not do it justice. it actually lights up more of the sides then it appears on the video. I think i have mine adjusted a little higher then his in the video.

On a motorcycle the only way to properly adjust headlights is with a rider sitting on the bike. Suspension load angle is definitely affected by rider/passenger weight.
