I had a 2011 TC103 that I put 103,000 miles on.

I traded that bike in on a 2017 M8 107 that now has 21,000 miles on it

Now that I've owned a ridden both for enough miles to know the difference, I'd definitely go for the M8. .

On a serious note there are some issues with all model years as pointed out above. Most that bash the M8's are non-owners that can't afford them. Buy what you like. The Rushmores are pretty solid in reliability. Shopping for those model years now that the M8's are out can save you some cash.
i can can easily afford but have zero interest in a Harley that acts and sounds metric. 15s had two recalls ie bag pins and clutch. Pushing 2019 no issues at all with my bike. Pre M8 is solid choice and best value, The H-D adventure did catch my eye in new bikes!
