Default 2016 Street Glide ABS light

Good morning All,

I just bled my brakes and got air in the line. Since this happened, I reverse bled the brakes and saw the air come out and still had the ABS light blinking. I took the bike for a test ride and hit the brakes hard a few times and the ABS light no longer blinks. Has anyone else a similiar experience? Is my ABS system working again? I did not take it to the dealership for the digital tech to be use.

did you feel the abs activate when you hit the brakes hard.
does the abs light still come on when you start the bike and go out when you start going over 10mph.

Yes, I did feel the ABS activate when I braked hard.
Yes, the ABS light still comes on when I start the bike
Yes, the light turns off once I am over 5mph.

I just want to make sure that the ABS is still ok even though I did not take it to the dealership.

Normal. For the light to be on until you start to roll.

It was doing that before you bled em. Mind is playing tricks on ya. Needs to pick up sensor triggers before it shuts off. Meaning you need to roll before it knows all is good and shuts off the light.

To me, sounds like you are fine now.
True, for a simple brake fluid flush that you did, the ABS doesnt need to be activated, its even in the Shop Manual.
However,
Only time you need to have the ABS activated at the dealer is if you get air in the system.

So, you saw that was true but did some funky maneuvering and got the light to go out. If that was me, that would say my system is working fine and I can EASILY confirm that by slamming on the rear brake hard when going over 30 MPH and see if the ABS activates, if the rear wheel doesnt lock up I would not concern myself anymore.
So yes, I think it would be working fine, but to answer your question in a forum the only answer would be to have a dealer, for whatever piece of mind you may want, check it out.
For me, I would 100% feel comfortable by simply slamming on the rear brake at higher speeds and try to lock up the rear wheel.

Not sure why the comments on the ABS light blinking but the ABS light ALWAYS blinks until you start moving, its in your owners manual.

IMO, if you're unsure, take bike into dealer for a check. Who are we to give opinion on your bike's #1 safety equipment.

Asking for piece of mind information on a forum where you have no idea of the mechanical ability of the respondents doesn't seem to be a good way to sort this out. Heck, I asked my sister who has never ridden a bike and she said you would probably be OK.
