I’m 6’1” and put lowers on my Street Glide prior to buying my Limited. I won’t go without lowers again
I will say that both of my bikes had seats that put me back 1-1/2” (14 SGS) to 2” (17 Limited) and that makes quite a bit of difference in how my feet and lower legs sit in regards to the lowers. I test rode the 19’s today and felt sooooo cramped on the CVO Limited and the Road Glide Ultra....

I am 6' 5" and have had both soft and hard lowers. You definitely get more air with the lowers removed, so if you ride a lot in hot weather, you will want to go with the soft lowers. The problem with the soft lowers is that you will want to remove them when the temperature gets above 60 degrees or so.because it will get too hot for you.
Soft lowers are much less expensive. They are so cheap in fact that you should just go buy them and see what you think.

6’2” w/ 35” inseam here, I ride with lowers on all year and it gets HOT here; 100-110 commonly. I notice it’s a little warmer, but the reduced pressure on my legs and feet, as well as the misc crap protection is worth it to me. I don’t really have an issue with them crowding my feet, the levers get more in the way than the lowers, but my seat moves me back close to 2 inches from OEM.
