while the website described exactly how they measure their bars i didn't really know or understand until i put the bars on today. the bars feel like 10 inch bars and i feel disappointed. they are advertised as 12's and they are 12 inch in the way they are measured but they are measured from the bottom of the cross bar to the top of the handle. to me these are everyone else's 10 inch bars. i feel like i wasted time and money.

Every set of bars I ever bought for a bike, I "test" fit first to make sure they were what I wanted before I pulled everything apart like wiring, cables etc. Take off the top clamp, lay the old bars on a towel on the tank and bolt up the new bars. if no good, return them and get what you need. I have returned a couple of bars after a test fit for being too high/low or in one case too wide. Just sayin', sorry it didn't work out for you.

i get it but i ordered these in the spring. they took 3 weeks to get to me. then we had a week or two with beautiful weather and didn't want the bike down. when i wen to install the bars i did 5 k service and found metal parts in the trans. they took 3+ weeks to replace the trans. i got the bike back and was either riding the bike or it was too hot and humid to do the work. so i got to installing them 3-4 months after i ordered.
it isn't the worst thing in the world because at least the wrist angle is better and it is about an inch taller than stock. so they work they just are not as tall as i wanted. i will ride em for the remainder of this season and see how it goes.
