Default Approaching 100K miles - maintenance ideas?

My 2014 Ultra Limited is approaching 100K miles. Interested in your experience for maintaining a high mileage bike. What items should I be looking at? I have kept up with maintenance schedule intervals including brake system flush. Tires, spark plugs, brake pads, new battery done as needed. Oil changes were according to the recommended schedule.

Here's the list of non-standard maintenance items to date:
clutch recall 8700 miles
clutch recall #2 15900 miles
side bag pin recall 31200 miles
front wheel bearing (during tire change), warranty, 35000 miles
left hand grip switch pack, warranty, 38700 miles
coolant pump failure, 70200 miles
coolant pump failure, 92000 miles

Thanks in advance for experiences and ideas. I really like this bike and would like to keep riding it, as long as I can avoid frequent breakdowns on long trips. That said, kudos to HD dealers for taking care of travelers in a timely manner. Coolant pumps were replaced far from home, one at Bowling Green KY, the other at Grand Junction CO. In and out in less than three hours in both cases.

Just keep doing what you're doing. There is no reason why it should not do another 100K with the regular service you do. That front wheel bearing you changed at 35000 might be due again and you might also have your tech look at the steering head bearings. Lastly I would have the wear on the cam chain tensioner checked.

I also have 14 FLHTK with 100,000 + miles …. all stock. Replaced rear wheel bearing @ 60,000, fronts @ 77,000. Coolant pump @ 82,000. Had the 2 clutch master cylinder recalls, 1 saddlebag pin retainers recall, 1 ABS brake line recall, 1 radiator filler neck (product program). So far the primary has never been opened except for the derby cover, for scheduled fluid changes. Brake fluid flushed every 2 years. New tires & brake pads every 20,000. The only thing done to the engine was a rocker box gasket. Engine, primary & trans oil done @ scheduled intervals using Syn3 & Formula+. Spark Plugs & air filters. @ 77,000 neck bearings were replaced and fork oil was changed. Coolant was changed twice and it's almost due again. So far, so good. 2 more years left on the ESP so I think I'll keep riding it as long as it's still reliable. Overall it's been a good bike. Not really looking for a new one.

EDIT: And a shift shaft & bushings @ 77,000.

Kudos and Hats off to the both of your for that many miles! My 2014 Limited just turned over 30K. No major issues (other than a few recalls)- just a shift shaft replacement last summer.

Take a good look at your belt. My riding buddy lost 14 teeth off his this winter while we were on our annual Florida / Christmas ride. He has an 09 with 120k miles.

Hats off to 14GuineaPig and mcw999.. made 6 figures with really very little problems..says something about being in tune with your bikes and always doing maintenance at proper intervals and having good experiences at various HD dealers along the way and well made bikes....keep us up to date on future miles
I should’ve been close to those miles ..but my big problem I contracted..AGE..and it’s really slowed me down can’t take the distance anymore. Ride Safe!! guys

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. Hadn't thought of a couple of those. Will help in talking with the service tech (at an independent shop).

Ride on!

Default Service Results

Took the bike into a local indy (Everglades Motorcycle Service, Naples FL). Good folks. Here's what they did:
New front and rear tires (American Elite). I had about 15K miles on the old ones, alos American Elites, the back was down to the wear bars.
Replaced front and rear wheel bearings.
Remove primary cover to check chain and tensioner, both were OK.
Remove cam cover. Replaced cam chains, tensioner shoes, inner cam bearings, lifters.
Replace relief valve spring on oil pop off.
Replace steering stem bearings, change fork oil (Legend Axeo cartridge forks).
Replace rear pulley isolator, and pulley bearings.
Replace two exhaust clamps.
New spark plugs, serviced K&N air cleaner element.
Rest of 10K mile service items.
Changed oil (3 holes).

A big service! But I am hoping it will get me several thousand more miles. Maybe in two years I will look at a new Harley. The 2019 Ultra looks nice, but $30K for the 114 M*, plus the new Infotainment.....not right now. I really like my current ride, as long as it stays reliable I'll keep it.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost for a service like that? I have a 2014 FLHTK also, but the 100K miles is a ways off. Thnx.
