Default Those who have upgraded their lighting

How many of you chose to add extra lights to the bike vs upgrading the lights currently on the bike? I have a 2016 ultra and I would like ot have more light. On a previous yamaha I had bought a HID headlight and installed and the light it put out was much improved over the daymaker. I'm considering going that route since I have plenty of room to hide the ballast, but I was wondering what others were doing.

My two previous bikes, 03 Dyna and 09 Rocker C both received LED headlight upgrades with no additional lighting. I now have a 2013 CVO Road King which Harley chose to equip with only a headlamp as opposed to the additional passing lights that the non-CVO Road King and your Ultra Classic have. For the Road King I was planning to add CVO passing lights, however, they are quite expensive so, for now, I am planning just an LED headlight upgrade. I am looking at the G&E or Trucklite products.

I've added LED tail lights to all my bike since I got rear ended. HD and sometimes CD.

14 Road King - I have the passing lamps so Im already covered on the front end, I did change out the passing lamp bulbs with yellow/gold as they are MUCH more noticeable. Stock headlight lamp, combo works fine for me.

Like the photo above, I changed out the stock taillight with the Harley LED tail light and like the photo above, I put on the Harley Electra-Glo Saddlebag Run/Turn/Brake lights, freaking awesome bright and DOT too, something the after-market is not. Im so impressed with the brightness of the Saddle Bag lights, hit the brakes or turn signal and wow, great.

I stuck with Harley products as the price was the same and in many cases less then some of the aftermarket stuff, and since its Harley, its all plug and play, simple as hell and good quality connectors and product over all, well thought out. If HD gives me a good product I rather buy theirs and why I bought their motorcycle.

Default Lights

I replaced the daymaker with the Vision X Vortex headlight and i should have done it when I drove off the showroom floor. Extremely pleased with the light and highly recommend it. I have also rotated my spots 180° and it helps as well.

I run Custom Dynamics True Beam Head and passing lamps, their Rinz turn lamps, and fender light in the front. The rear is all HD with the exception of the Ciro 3d Tour Blade light under the backrest of the Tour Pak.

Clearwater LED accessory lighting is bar none the best in the market. They are the true daymakers!!!! Can mount em to crash bars or front fender. Ridiculously bright! But adjustable so you don’t blind oncoming traffic

Looks like a good mix of upgrade vs adding on.
