When I owned a Road Glide (2011 model) I became an expert at outer fairing R&R. I can have it off and back on in 20 minutes or less and yours is a lot easier than mine was. No way I’d ride one without the outer fairing just to save myself a few minutes labor.
Just following up. Rode to the shop with the outer fairing off, no issues at all. It was interesting to experience what riding this beast was like without a windshield. I didn't realize how much that short windshield does!
