Default Solo Mounted King Tour Pack Storage

About to pick up a new painted King Tour pack with the Solo Mounted Rack for my 2014 FLHXS. Question is for those of you who don’t keep the pack mounted all the time, how do you store it?

Only viable option I’m aware of for me with limited garage space, is a wall mount. Which ones do you guys like and where’s the best place to purchase them? Thanks in advance for your input.

I used galvanized angle from home depot with pre drilled holes, I think it is 1"x1" Space it 2" off the wall and use 3'8" threaded rod inside of 1/2 aluminium tubing. Space the tubing so your tourpack mount hooks on properly.

I bought a rack from HD specifically for storage for Tour pack and back rest that mounts on your garage wall. Part #93100005. Check it out

To bad you don’t live a little closer lol. A six back and good conversation along with some serious help building me one like that would be my only option for a custom piece.

Made one out of left over aluminum angle stock. I like being able to easily slide it on and off the rack. Also makes it simple and quick when changing from the solo and 2up q-detach racks. Others "hang" it using rods through the mounting holes. One person mounted the rod between studs, saving space. Whatever works and fits the space you have.

Another reason to just leave it on.
