Default Iphone problem

I have a 2016 SGS and usually listen to Pandora streaming thru Bluetooth. My problem is I can only get it to connect with Bluetooth if I don't plug it in to charge. When I connect to the usb charging port in the fairing it stops the Bluetooth connection and wont stream thru the usb connection. This is with a IPhone 5s. I posted this here before and tried all the suggestions ( different cord, restarting pandora after I connect cord, and a few other ideas) nothing seems to work. Has anyone figured this out? My phone will steam thru the plug or thru bluetooth in my truck so I know the phone is working correctly.

You could rig up another USB charger and cord into the fairing pocket so you could charge the phone without having it hooked up to the Boom's USB connection.

I've never tried streaming Pandora, but I can stream SiriusXM via bluetooth with my iPhone 6S plugged into the fairing USB port with no issues. Have you tried other streaming services to see if they will work?

Do you also have music on your phone? I’ve heard yo must have at least one song downloaded as it’s looking for some reason to connect, it sees the phone as a flash drive. If noth8ngs on it , it won’t connect. It’s needs to connect to stream

Mike300, thanks that actually worked. I loaded some music and let it start to play on the bike. I then shut down the apple music app and started pandora at it streamed thru the cable. Thanks for the help.

That usb is really a data port. I put mine in the trunk on a car charger. My usb has a memory stick with 500 songs on it and gets rotated regularly.
