Default Road Glide-Street Glide Difference

I wrecked my '14 Limited, so I'm going to drive to Rogers, Arkansas. rent a bike at the H-D dealership and ride the roads around the Ozarks for 4 or 5 days. The only bikes available are Road Kings and Road Glides, neither one have I ever ridden before.

If I had to choose, it would be the Road Glide since it has tunes and navigation. The only problem I can see is, of course, it's a fixed fairing. Does it take some getting used to coming from a batwing or is it no big deal?

No big deal , just a little lighter on the steering because the fairing is bolted on the frame vs the forks

It only took me about 15 minutes to get use to a fixed fairing about 9 years ago.

Caution though, you might get hooked and buy a Road Glide afterwards.

That's a true story. Lol. Took me 5 minutes into the test ride of an 11 RGU to know I was hooked. Traded the 08 SG in and 11 months after buying the 11 I bought my 16 RGS. Never going back.

Cool. Thanks for the quick replies!

I'll try not to like it too much, though. My bike is being repaired, so I don't think I'll be swapping bikes anytime soon. Thanks again!

I rode a 2007 Roadking and thought the fairing would be an issue on a 2016 RGS.To be perfectly honest,I was to busy smiling to notice. Its never been an issue and the headlights not turning with the handlebars has never been an issue either.Your going to love whatever you ride.

I've had several bat'wings and a few fixed fairing bikes. I can say i don't think I will buy another Bat wing bike. As for the headlights? Your car's headlights don't turn with the front end either. IMO the storage is better, Radio is farther away giving more room, controls are on bars so radio distance is not an issue for me. Better on highway. Look mean from front view. Love my Shark. Good luck

2016 CVO RGU... I will never go back to a Batwing. Just way to many positive things.

Only thing i can see being different is splitting traffic since you can’t move the fairing back and forth
